Simple and Healthy Green Smoothie

How to make the best green smoothie that everyone will enjoy! It’s a great way to start your day off, nourish your body and give you long-lasting energy. This recipe is very simple and easy for new smoothie makers.

1.) Spinach/Kale 2 cups – I love spinach and kale in my smoothies and both provide a great source of protein, vitamins, and minerals. If you don’t happen to have either some other greens include:

  • Lettuce
  • Celery
  • Cucumber/Zucchini
  • Beet/Carrot Tops etc.

2.) 2 medium Sized Bananas – Bananas give this smoothie so much flavor and can mask that taste of spinach or kale that some people hate. Like with any good recipe, ingredients can be mixed, matched, and experimented with until you find the perfect smoothie for you. If you don’t have bananas you can use almost any fruit or berries but note that berries and some fruit will change the color of the smoothie.

      Tip: Freeze your bananas for a nice and cold smoothie

3.) Chia Seeds 2-3 Table Spoons – I love chia seeds and they are so good for you, packed with protein, fiber, and so many vitamins and minerals. I highly recommend using chia seeds but like the fruits and veggies there are alternatives like:

  • Hemp Seeds
  • Sunflower Seeds
  • Nuts
  • Protein Powder

4.) Add Water or Your Favorite Non-Dairy Milk, Blend and Enjoy
